A highly experienced senior railway professional with over 20 years’ experience, extensive knowledge of UK and International passenger, freight and heritage railway operations, a comprehensive understanding of railway standards, procedures, rules and regulations.

Michael has held several key operations, safety and performance roles in a number of UK rail operators and has been instrumental in the delivery of a number of important railway projects.

He has developed positive relationships with an extensive network of railway professionals and has sat on a number of industry safety working groups and committees.

Michael is a Fellow if the Chartered Institute of Rail Operators (CIRO)
